Mother's Day and Tea Party Wrap-Up

The Little Birdie mothers had a superb Mother's Day, which was made even more special as Gerri is due to have her second baby in less than two months.

So Gerri could catch up with some close friends before the upcoming arrival of Baby #2, we hosted a Girls Afternoon Tea Party a couple of weeks ago.

Our dear friend and talented photographer, Emma, took some lovely photographs of the occasion.
See our Facebook page for an album of the gorgeous images of the afternoon.

We are busy planning some exciting new events. We'll keep you posted as time allows!

Mini Mother's Day Lunch

Have a look at this charming, intimate Mother's Day lunch.

We enjoyed a splendid impromptu lunch together before the main activities of this particularly special weekend got underway. It was delightfully set-up, quick to put together, and gave the two Little Birdie mothers a chance to plan and reflect while enjoying a scrumptious lunch.

The flowers are from Perrotts Florists, the sweets and savouries are from Jocelyn's Provisions, and the salad, Turkish Delight, and the lime/ginger/kaffir lime leaf cordial are from In A Pickle.

The simple, yet delightful table setting made it that extra bit special!

Next time we will share the photographs of the Girls Afternoon Tea Party we hosted last weekend - it was truly splendid!

We hope you have enjoyed your Mother's Day weekend!

Anzac Biscuit Caramel Sandwich

It's been a couple of weeks since our last post. We've been very busy at Little Birdie Events planning a Girls Afternoon Tea Party, which we hosted on Sunday afternoon. We will post more on this splendid occasion soon! We can't wait to show you the gorgeous photos that Little Birdie's photographer, Emma (of E. V. O'Neill Photography), took for us.

In the meantime, as promised in our last post, here is the easy and delicious dessert we made with our left-over Anzac biscuits - Anzac Biscuit Caramel Sandwich.

Simply sandwich two Anzac Biscuits (or two halves) together with caramel {you can either make it from scratch or do what we did and use the tinned caramel you can buy from the supermarket!} and serve with some delicious ice cream. We served it with Movenpick Maple Walnut ice cream... Yum!
